EBAY IS AWESOME

I just want to say that Ebay is awesome. I was able to get my husband 4 things he really wanted for Christmas on Ebay.

Then, I was able to win 3 cricut cartridges that were cheaper than the store even with shipping. 2 were $15.50 (A Garden of Words & An Ocean of Words)each and 1 (Pooh Font) was for $23.01. This why it's hard for me to buy things at regular store prices. Because I get such great deals on Ebay.

My Stampin Up collection of Rubberstamp sets has evolved up to over 230 complete sets. Most of which came from ebay. Sorry Jenn. I still love you and you will always be my Stampin Up person.

I think I have an addiction to Ebay. When I find great deals, I can't stop bidding. I even try and win things for my friends. Sometimes I win the auction and sometimes I don't. But I sure do like to try.

I hope to be able to get some things made to sell on there at some point. But for now, I think I enjoy winning things more than selling things.

I wonder if anyone else is an ebay addict as much as me. If you are, please reply to my post.

My Hubby is gonna get smacked!

For some reason, my husband keeps calling me a scrapbooker. We get into this arguement over and over and over to where I really want to smack'em.

So he asks "What's the difference?" And I tell him that a Scrapbooker Scrapbooks Pictures mostley. A Paper Crafter makes all things with paper.

For instance, I consider myself a Paper Crafter because I love to make stuff for scrapbook pages (although i do not scrapbook) and cards. The only thing I have ever Scrapbooked was a couple of About Me pages and a few recipes for swaps hosted on my groups.

I do use a lot of other things besides scrapbooking items for my paper crafts. But I'm a FREAKIN PAPER CRAFTER!!!!!!!!!!! I don't think my husband will ever understand the difference between the two. But then again, he is a MAN and they think different than we do......

Sincerely,
Mona

Alabama - the Greatest State Ever......

Okay ya'll I created a yahoogroup called AlabamaScrappinFriends. I figured it might be a good group if we got a ton of Alabama Gals that love to Scrapbook, Make Cards or are papercrafters like me. It would be a great place to post about your Crops that are hosted around your area. Find new friends and enjoy chatting with others who enjoy the same things you do. You also might have more incommon than you think.

I met my best friend Jenn V. at the Hobby Lobby in Gardendale,AL. and I think that if I didn't get the nerve to ask this strange Gal about distressing inks that my life would not be as exciting as it is today if i had not made that first step.

I'm happy about the day Jenn and I met, because she invited me to my first ever Crop that was hosted by one of my friends (Kellie Rutledge) that I met online and met in person once before.

Jenn also introduced me to Jerri Wood who hosts the Crop 2 Help Crops for the Shriner Hospital. It's a weekend Crop that she has hosted for 3 years now and it's a blast.

Then Jenn introduced me to Jill Cox who is litterally my birthday Twin. We were both born on 9-27-68. Only I was born in the morning and Jill was born in the evening.

Jenn has truly become more than just a friend. I consider her my family. I might get on her nerves from time to time. But we all do that to our friends and family.

Okay Jenn,I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate you and our friendship.

Love,
Mona

3 Hours of Fun. NOT!

So yesterday,I am in the bedroom laying on the bed after I get home from work. Talked to my friend Jill on the phone for a bit.

Mike (my hubby) walks into the room and says, "HL and Diane are fixing to feed the Baby Calf." And I'm like,I want to go feed the baby calf. So I hop out of bed and put on some old clothes, socks and shoes and go running out the door to catch up with HL and Diane.

As I am running to catch up to them,I'm thinking that they've already caught the baby calf and that he is in the barn. Guess What? That's what I get for thinking. I catch up to them and they are like, good we'll have an extra person to help catch the baby calf.

"The reason we had to catch the baby is that his momma is only 17 months old herself and is too young to have a baby calf so her udders aren't producing the milk she should be. The baby calf is very malnurished and steps needed to take place in order for his survival."

We finally get them cornered and in a makeshift area with gates. I guess you could say that we were very close. But not successful at all. I called over to Howard who is my neighbor that lives right next door to Mike and I. He came over to help out. So now were up to 4 people trying to catch the momma and baby.

Seeing as I wasn't home yet,Mike decides to come over and help out. Now there are 5 of us trying to keep the Bull away and still trying to get momma and baby so that we can grab the baby. HL then decides, lets get the bull in the barn so that we won't have to worry about him charging at us. Good idea, and with some feed in a bucket, viola!! It worked.

The momma and baby finally go back into the watering hole and the baby gets stuck in the mud. So HL decides to go into the watering hole that smells off cow poop and grabs the baby who is not amused in the very least. Mike and Howard both help HL and baby out of the smelly poop watering hole. HL carries the baby up to the barn where he up the baby's legs to keep him from escaping from us. So that we can get hime into the barn.

Yeah,if you remember,we put the bull in the barn. Can you imagine what I was thinking while I was holding down the smelly poop covered baby and watching out for the momma cow. I was thinking that the baby and I need to move away from the door of the barn as not to get trampled by the Bull.

Diane was the smart one. She stayed clear of the whole thing. Once we got the baby in the barn,he began to cry for his momma. Can't say that I blame him as we did take him from her. HL and Diane were getting the bottle ready to feed the baby. while they were doing that,I was in the barn area where the baby was. He headbutted my leg about 4 times till I got smart and raised up my foot. He decided to headbutt my shoe for a bit. He's so cute.

The bottle is ready. HL held him down and I put the bottle in his mouth. The baby was not getting much of anything. So we cut the whole a bit bigger in the nipple of the bottle. Now we're getting somewhere. When the baby was drinking the bottle,we could hear his poor little stomach make some weird noises. The poor thing was very hungry. He drank 2/3's of the bottle and was very happy to see us go. His momma stood outside the barn door just crying for her baby.

HL said that since we are having to bottle feed the baby calf, that he's just going to keep him in the barn till he's healthy enough to be out in the other pen.

I get home and to the shower I go,cause I smell like watering hole poop too.

Today I'll go after work and feed the baby. I'm excited,I know that's weird. But I love to help animals. Just ask my friends.....

Anyway,i just wanted to share that story with you all. I'm at work typing this and I need some coffee cause I'm still tired and achy all over.

Till next time,
Mona

Hello

Hello and good morning. I am sitting here at work fixing to start my day. I hope it's a slow day.

On Monday's I scan documents in the morning and answer the phones in the afternoon. The gal that works at front desk, leaves work early. My boss and supervisor decided that since I was here all day on Mondays that I can answer the phone. Luckily I haven't hung up on anyone important. LOL

So we shall see how today goes. Had a pretty busy weekend. Worked on some swaps as I am sooooooooo behind and I hate that,as I am always on time. Not since I started work and now understand more about what goes on in everyday life. That if you plan to do something,it always gets put on hold.

I'm hoping to go home every night and get stuff done so that the members of my groups won't be mad at me anymore.

On top of that is also the stress level I am under. I am so stressed out,it's not even funny...... Hopefully everything will work itself out.

Have a great day!
Sincerely,
Mona

It's 6:00 am

Yesterday was a fine day.
14 years ago,I gave up an Angel to a wonderful couple who adopted my son. I've kept in contact with them through the years because Tyler's mom is a great lady.
Well, yesterday Tyler emailed me and gave me is myspace web addy and I got to see a recent picture of him. He is handsome and has a few of my features. I think the best part is we have a bond/connection as I had him for 6 months before giving him up for adoption. I don't regret it at all, because I know that he is loved and cherished everyday and holds a special place in my heart.
Just wanted to share that with you.

Mona

Good Afternoon

So,I am sitting here at work creating my first ever blog. Who would have thought it would have been this easy. Thank you Jenn!

I can't wait to get started. I'll have to upload some photos and of course one of me at some point.

I get off from work soon.... woohoooooooooooo for me,as I have a 3 day weekend. Well I have a 3 day weekend every weekend......

As you can tell from my Blog name "papercrafter101",I enjoy paper crafting. I love to make cards and embellishments for scrapbooks. I enjoy using all types of materials and rubberstamps to create stuff.

I have the sizzix original and the cricut expressions diecut machines. I have collected probably over 200 stampin up stamp sets,i also have ctmh and tac stamp sets as well. I guess you could say I've got somewhat of an addiction. And boy do I love to shop on ebay. I think I'm an addict when it comes to finding really great deals. I'm a bargin shopper and enjoy a good sale. Just ask my friends, they'll tell ya.

I have recently downsized my craftroom and hopefully I'll get organized at some point. Maybe not,but it's good to hope that one day it will happen.

Welp,I better close for now as it's almost time to leave work......

Sincerely,
Mona
